Hi, and welcome to GO Paperless!
GO Paperless is a culmination of ten years of work, 5 years of living a paperless lifestyle and a belief that we can change our unsustainable paper habits .
The fact is:
- 97.6% of direct mail is irrelevant to the receiver and is perceived as a 'cost of doing business'
- 40% of all direct mail never even gets opened and goes directly into the waste stream
- 90% of marketing collateral goes unused by sales and if you work in an office, take a look at the storage room
So I think we can all agree there is a lot of paper wasted when business tries to communicate to their customers
But I am here to tell you about an alternative that is already in your hand.
The fact is:
- 73% of people have access to the big three. The internet, an email address and a cellphone.
- And 56% of those people are text messaging
- And email is the number one reason why we go online.
That's why we developed GO Paperless. we wanted to reduce the environmental impact of paper by helping companies reduce the paper they used in marketing.
First, let's look at how print marketing is used:
Collateral is used by sales people as a 'leave behind' for their customers. Now let me ask you. How many of us would rather get an email than a paper brochure when dealing with a sales person?
So instead of the usual "leave-behind", you can let your sales people, your resellers and your employees share your latest brochure via email.
When you GO Paperless with your Collateral you save on
- your printing cost
- on the cost of reprinting
- And on shipping and handling
The second way we use print marketing is by allowing people to pick it up and take it away.
Instead of letting people take it away from a stack or a display rack, you can let your customer request it with their mobile phone and provide them a PDF copy instead.
You can add Paperless anywhere to any type of display advertising, from large billboards to small table top displays.
Here's how it works.
You use your cellphone like a remote. We let you use it to request a PDF copy of a Brochure, Flyer, or Handout. All you have to do is send a text message with a keyword to our number. We take your request and send the print materials to your email.
If you have a RIM, iPhone or Smartphone you can access it right away by checking your email. If you aren't that advanced, don't worry, you'll just have to wait until you can check your email.
So people always ask me. Why email and not back to the phone.
First, You really can't say much in a text message. It's only 160 characters. And there is no way I could replace Paper by bringing it this tiny screen.
Second, Email is comfortable. Especially email that is requested and has relevant information that we're looking for. We can do more with that email as well. We can link from it, we can save it, or we can forward it.
Want to Register your Phone? Let's walk through it quickly.
- Start a new text message
- Enter the KEYWORD GO a space and then your email address.
Entering your email can be painful depending on your phone. We designed the system to make it as easy as possible so our system will remember the email you registered with so you'd never have to enter it again. So the next time you request, just send us any KEYWORD you see
Ok, now that the body is done, send the message to 51051
When we receive your request we will send you a paperless receipt of the transaction. It contains the KEYWORD, What was requested and the Email address it was sent to.
Now that your phone is registered, try texting more keywords like STOPJUNK or STARTLIFE to 51051.
And By the Way. GO Paperless is standard rated. That means it costs you the same as sending a message to a friend.
Think of us like your Paperless Friends. Here to help everyone GO Paperless!
Keep an eye out for the GO Mark on your favourite advertising and text for more information from the products, brands and organizations that have committed to GO Paperless!
